Step into a world of stories and help our students set off on an unforgettable reading adventure!
On Tuesday, February 10th from 6:00-7:30PM Westchester Elementary will transform into 12 “story lands,” each celebrating a different genre—from Picture Book Park to Graphic Novel Grove. Children will collect passport stamps, solve mini-quests, enjoy read-alouds, and create their own postcards.
We need caring grown-ups to greet families and help set up classrooms (hanging things and setting out table cloths). We are also in need of water and cookie donations. Click here to see volunteer opportunities!
For anyone that is volunteering to set up, please arrive at 5pm and indicate if you would like pizza after set up so we can get a headcount. All materials will be provided. However, if you have anything you'd like to donate for the event that would fit the theme, feel free to bring it. If you can decorate for a simple birthday party, you can set up for this event! Each room will have a large mural to hang on the wall and some accessories to hang from the ceiling and hang around the room.
Donation items like water and cookies can be dropped off at Dianna Gasque's house: 313 Gralan Road.
Thank you for helping bring Passport to Reading to life!
